It’s unclear why Democrats have chosen to keep the human-gaffe machine Nancy Pelosi as their leader, but no Republican should be complaining.
Whether it be calling $1,000 bonuses “crumbs,” (RELATED: Prominent Democrats Rebuke Nancy Pelosi’s ‘Crumbs’ Comments) promising to raise taxes (after fighting to keep a $64,000 tax break for herself) (RELATED: Nancy Pelosi Fought to Keep $64,000 Tax Break for Herself) or defending MS-13 members against allegations that they’re “animals” (RELATED: Nancy Pelosi Defends MS-13 Gang Members From Trump’s ‘Animals’ Comment) – Pelosi has been doing great PR work for the Republicans.
Yesterday, she invited San Francisco’s Golden State Warriors to the Capitol and gave a speech in their honor. The team, which represents her native San Francisco, won their third title in four years last week.
Just five seconds into her remarks, Pelosi lost her chain of thought. “Thank you very much, Mr. Speaker. I’m very delighted to join my colleagues, uh, from— the Bay Area. Congresswoman Barbara Lee in wearing the blue and the gold, uh, to celebrate the new American dynasty, the Golden State Warriors.” She was off to a bad start, and it didn’t get much better from there, as she enthusiastically stumbled through her speech.
“On Friday, as you probably know, the Warriors swept the great team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, led by LeBron James. What a magnificent athlete, all the more making the victory, uh, so sweet to secure the 2018 NBA championship. Their third title, the Warriors third title in three years.” (It was actually the third in four years, as Cleveland won the championship in 2016).
Watch below, in the video that her team voluntarily uploaded to YouTube:
According to The American Mirror’s count, Pelosi’s brain misfired no fewer than seven times during that brief speech. And given her past speeches, I’m surprised she didn’t screw up more.
Keep it up, Nancy!
