Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson couldn’t control his laughter during a segment on Wednesday after a staunch liberal claimed “white privilege” existed across the country.
“Run For America” founder David Burstein argued that white people have advantages because of their skin color, saying this helps them get better jobs and opportunities than minorities.
“You can’t generalize about people on the basis of their skin tone, right? I thought. Or can you?” Carlson asked.
“You and I both know, as white men sitting here that, you know, there is such a thing as white privilege,” Burstein said.
“No, I don’t know that actually,” Carlson fired back. “There are immigrant, nonwhite immigrant groups that have on average higher annual incomes than average white Americans.”
“It’s much more complicated than you and other sort of glib apologists for racism suggest that it is,” he continued.
“You can’t generalize about people on the basis of their skin tone, right? I thought. Or can you?” Carlson said, bursting into laughter as he ended the segment.
Carlson’s point was that how can liberals smear and insult white people for their skin color, yet it is racist to make those same claims about people of color?
When he point-blank told Burstein to generalize minorities the same way he was white people, the liberal activist wouldn’t do it.
All Carlson was asking Burnstein to do was make the same remarks about people of color as he was about white people, and he refused.
So, apparently it’s racist to make a claim about minorities, but fair game and appropriate to make the exact same comments about white people.
This is an illogical and deeply offensive line of thinking, and Carlson exposed that and literally left Burnstein stuttering numerous times during their debate.
Even the liberal activist knew his talking points were downright embarrassing, and Carlson made him pay for peddling such egregious falsehoods.
